New Land Mgt. 3-storey Records Building Inaugurated

The effort is in line with Pres. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo's program on the "Poverty Reduction and Hunger Mitigation "under land distribution (Handog Titulo Program). The program is being pushed through the support of DENR Secretary Lito Atienza Barcelo said, it will give integrity to the lands records and would help facilitate the delivery of service to the people thru accurate data on their land properties. The Land Management Service is currently processing the issuance of 10,000 land titles this year aside from the issuance of other land tenurial instruments, the miscellaneous sales patents, foreshore lease, homestead patents and others.
The new Land Management Service building specifically to house the Surveys Division and Records Section was inaugurated last Oct. 15, 2008 . The new office is located at the government center in Barangay Sevilla, San Fernando City, La Union.
